Description

40TB Temperature and Pressure Double Indicator / Alarm Unit

The 40TB is a microprocessor-based, 2-channel alarm unit in 96x96 mm (1/4 DIN) format, manufactured using SMT.
It features two 4-digit displays for process variables and engineering units, plus a red LED bargraph associated with process variables and peak values.
Three LEDs indicate output status, while three additional LEDs can indicate configurable functional conditions.
The instrument has a Lexan membrane faceplate (IP65) with 4 keys.
Channel 1: Accepts strain-gauge, pressure, or force sensor inputs (positive or symmetrical polarizations) with auto-calibrated sensitivity (1.5–4 mV/V) and probe power supply break indication. Potentiometer signals (≥100 Ω) are also supported. Sampling time and resolution can be configured via keyboard (15–120 ms, up to 16,000 divisions).
Channel 2: Configurable for temperature sensors (TC, RTD, PTC, NTC) or mV, V, mA signals, with customizable inputs for each sensor type.
Two digital inputs (voltage-free contacts) are available, configurable for reset, hold, flash, peak, or memory reset.
The unit supports up to three relay (5A / 250V) or static (0–11 Vdc) outputs. Two analog outputs are available for retransmission of inputs, alarm sets, or gross/tare values.
Serial communication options include current loop, RS422/485, and RS232 with baud rates up to 19200.
Each input channel can be optionally powered:
- Channel 1: 1V (potentiometer), 5V / 10V (strain-gauge), 15V / 24V
- Channel 2: 15V / 24V
Programming is simplified by grouping parameters in function blocks and using a simplified data entry menu.
Further configuration can be done via the PC programming kit (connection cable + Windows menu guide, see technical data cod. 80020).
A configurable personal software protection code (password protection) restricts editing and display of configuration parameters.
