Description

Microprocessor controller for three-step motorized valves, 48x48 mm (1/16 DIN), built using SMT technology.
The instrument features a full operator interface protected by a Lexan membrane, ensuring IP65-rated front panel protection.
It comes with 4 keys, dual 4-digit green LED displays, 4 red LEDs for relay or logic outputs, and 3 additional programmable LEDs to indicate various operational states.
The main input is universal and compatible with thermocouples, resistance thermometers, thermistors, linear signals, and potentiometers. Custom linearization can be configured via the front panel, including two-point input correction.
Input type selection is done directly from the front panel; no external adapters or shunts are needed.
An auxiliary isolated analog input is available, configurable as a linear input or potentiometer for valve position feedback.
Two isolated digital inputs can be programmed for selecting up to 4 local setpoints, starting/stopping/resetting the internal timer, Auto/Manual mode, Local/Remote selection, alarm memory reset, or input hold function.
The controller supports up to 4 outputs (relay 3A/250V or logic 12Vdc/20mA), 2 of which are dedicated to valve open/close operations, and up to 2 isolated analog outputs in voltage or current.
Each output function is fully configurable via the keypad. Available functions include control (valve open/close), alarm output, timer-based output, digital input repetition, retransmission of process variables, setpoints, deviations, alarm points, or values from serial communication.
An additional isolated output (10 or 24Vdc, 30mA max) can power external transmitters or potentiometers.
RS485 serial communication (RS232C compatible) allows full online control and parameter modification, including local/remote manual/automatic switching, timer control, and direct output management.
Supported protocols: MODBUS RTU and CENCAL (GEFRAN), enabling access to all instrument parameters.
Valve-specific settings include actuator stroke time, minimum pulse duration, impulse threshold, dead zone, and control type (with or without potentiometer feedback), configurable using PD or PID algorithms.
Programming is simplified by grouping parameters into function blocks (CFG for control, Inp for inputs, Out for outputs) and offering a simplified menu for frequently used settings.
The instrument automatically hides parameters that are not relevant according to its hardware configuration.
A PC programming kit is available to further simplify configuration, including a menu-driven Windows program and the necessary connection cable (see data sheet code 80021).
