Microprocessor controller in 48x48 mm (1/16 DIN) format, manufactured with SMT technology.
This instrument offers a full operator interface protected by a Lexan® membrane providing IP65 frontal protection. It includes 4 keys, a 4-digit display, 2 indicator LEDs for model 400, 3 LEDs for model 401, plus an additional 3-segment LED bar graph.
The main process input is universal and supports multiple sensor types:

• Thermocouples: J, K, R, S, T, B, E, N
• 3-wire PT100 resistance thermometers
• PTC thermistors
• Linear inputs: 0–60 mV, 12–60 mV, 0–20 mA, 4–20 mA, 0–10 V, 2–10 V

Input type is selected from the front panel; no external shunts or adapters are needed.
Model 401 provides an auxiliary input for a 50 mA AC current transformer to monitor load current, with the option to set an alarm for potential load faults.
Outputs include 2 (or 3 for model 401) relay outputs (5 A / 250 VAC, cosφ=1) or static outputs (10 Vdc / 30 mA) configurable for Heat, Cool, or combined Heat/Cool operation and/or alarm signaling.
Programming is organized in function blocks (CFG for control, Inp for inputs, Out for outputs, etc.) with a simplified menu for commonly used parameters.
A PC programming kit is available, including a menu-driven Windows configuration tool and connection cable (see technical data cod. 80021).
Optional password protection can restrict parameter viewing and editing.
