Description
KE NaK-Filled Melt Pressure Transmitters – K3 Series
The K3 Series pressure sensors are designed for high-temperature applications where process temperatures may reach 538 °C (1000 °F), such as high-temperature engineered polymers. Utilizing standard melt pressure principles, the sensors feature bonded foil strain gage technology and a near-incompressible NaK (Sodium-Potassium) hydraulic transmission medium, recognized as a safe (GRAS) FDA-approved substance.
Applications
- FDA-compliant processes (mercury-free, food, and medical applications)
- Processing of special polymers and technopolymers at high temperatures (up to 538 °C / 1000 °F)
Specifications
- Pressure Ranges: 0–35 to 0–1000 bar / 0–500 to 0–15000 psi
- Accuracy: < ±0.25% FSO (High); < ±0.5% FSO (Medium)
- Hydraulic Transmission: NaK ensures stable pressure readings at working temperature; RoHS compliant
