Gefran‘s 1/16 DIN Microprocessor controller are manufactured using SMT technology. These controllers provide a complete operator interface protected by a Lexan® membrane; This Technology ensures level IP65 faceplate protection. Gefran 1/16 DIN Controllers are equipped with 4 keys, a 4 digit display (2 indicating LED's for 400 models) and (3 indicating LED's for 401 models) and a 3 LED's for bar-graph display.

Sensor configuration is preformed from faceplate interface, of which no external shunts, or adapters are required. Gefran Model 401 can have an auxiliary input for a 50mAac current transformer to monitor a load current. Also available is the possibility to set an alarm point related to the current transformer input; this is to indicate a possible load malfunction. Controllers have 2 (3 for 401 model) relay (5A/250Vac, cosφ=1) or static (10Vdc/30mA) outputs with Heat, Cool or Heat/Cool non-overlapping and/or alarm functions. Programming procedures are facilitated by grouping parameters in function blocks (CFG for the control parameters, INP for the inputs, OUT for the outputs, etc.) Also, the possibility of selecting a simplified menu for entering the most frequently used parameters is also available. Consequently, a programming kit for PC is available to facilitate the configuration a step further.
